Wilson Alexander Aguilar

Marketing Director (he/him)

For nearly 25 years, Wilson has focused his career on marketing, fundraising, communications, and events. Prior to California, he lived in New York where he managed events at amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research, and created communications strategies and events at the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center. Currently, in addition to serving as a marketing strategist for The Choral Project, he spearheads marketing initiatives for Silicon Valley Gay Men’s Chorus and Silicon Valley Shakespeare. Wilson received a B.A. in Performance Studies from UIC Chicago.

Matt Baxter

Bookkeeper, Box Office + Office Manager (he/him)

One of the last known Bay Area natives, Matt lives two miles from his childhood home. He and his wife, a TCP board member and alto, have three children and are now welcoming grandchildren into the family. Starting as a TCP audience member, he has moved through a variety of responsibilities for the organization: usher, house manager, board secretary, and board president. Prior to TCP he was an operations manager, census worker, at-home dad, kindergarten teacher, and freelance writer. For fun, he has run 51 marathons and has played disc golf at 366 different courses across all 50 states and 10 Canadian provinces.

 
 

Thomas Boyd

Development Manager (he/him)

Tom has wandered far afield from his Dayton, Ohio birthplace. He earned his MA from the University of Washington, then went to work in Washington, DC as a U.S. Senate staffer. From there to Wall Street, Tom created corporate social policy programs for the American Stock Exchange and Chemical Bank (now JPMorgan Chase). Nonprofits and community-based organizations became his focus and shaped his independent consulting practice, with engagements including The White House, Father Flanagan's Boys Town, American Red Cross, the Ford Foundation, and dozens more. Tom joined The Choral Project to combine his development experience and his love of music as a singer and songwriter with two CDs of his own work.

Daniel Hughes

Founder + Artistic Director (he/him)

Daniel is in constant demand as a conductor, accompanist, coach, and choral clinician. He began studying piano and composition at the age of four. And he also has extensive training in piano and voice and holds a Master of Arts Conducting degree. He is the recipient of the 2013 Arts Council Silicon Valley Artist Laureate Award in the “On Stage” category for his ground-breaking contributions to the arts in Santa Clara County, along with a host of additional awards. Daniel is also an accomplished composer and arranger and has his own choral series through Santa Barbara Music Publishing. He maintains a private music studio in the Bay Area.
