EARTHSONGS :: New Days (Santa Cruz)

This concert features music that reminds us of our own power to affect change, along with the prize winners from our annual Rachel Moore Choral Competition for Young Composers.

We conclude our season with hope for better tomorrow by bringing awareness to the horrific issue of human trafficking in the Bay Area and the world. We shall respond with music that reminds us of our own power to affect change! The concert will honor The Bay Area Anti-Trafficking Coalition: an organization that believes “eradication [of human trafficking] is possible only when the collective impact of individuals and groups comes to bear upon this multifaceted issue…As we mobilize the public to engage the issue, we envision a slave-free San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.” Repertoire will feature music from around the globe, ranging from modern classics such as Joshua Shank’s amazing “rules to live by” (written for The Choral
