ART OF SOUND: Bernstein at 100 (Santa Clara)

The Choral Project joins the worldwide centennial celebration of Leonard Bernstein. Featuring Bernstein’s famous Chichester Psalms, with organ, harp and percussion. World renowned musicians—organist Angela Kraft Cross and harpist Dan Levitan—join boy soprano Nick McKee (Ragazzi Boys Chorus) in a musical program that features some of Bernstein’s best music, from the concert hall to the musical theatre stage. In addition to Bernstein’s thrilling Chichester Psalms, repertoire includes choral music from Lillian Hellman’s play The Lark, a sublime arrangement of “Somewhere” from West Side Story, and several solo/chorus selections from Candide.
