The Choral Project is honored to combine with acclaimed California treble vocal ensemble, Vox Musica (Daniel Paulson, conductor), in a program that seeks to find light in the dark and hope in times of despair. Justice, hope, light, and love are the cornerstones of a program that is sure to connect deeply with the audience. The theatrical nature of the program will feature both ensembles moving through the performance space to tell a story about loss, strife, love, and life.
Repertoire will include works by Hildegard von Bingen, Carlos Surinach, Jake Runestad, and Stephen Hatfield. The centerpiece of the concert will include a world premiere by Daniel Hughes for treble and mixed choirs about seeking refuge in times of war and struggle.
Sponsored, in part, by a grants from the Office of Cultural Affairs - City of San Jose, SVCREATES and Applied Materials Foundation, and generous support from First Republic Bank.
