We are delighted to share the stage once again with the San Jose Chamber Orchestra as we present our third annual joint December program Winter's Gifts, focusing this season on the universally paramount subject of peace. The program will feature the world premiere of a major new work: "The Songbird and the Eagle," based on a traditional Buddhist Jakata tale, which explores the theme of the possibility of peace in the world being attained through the small actions of each individual. Balancing this deeply moving work is the powerful and monumental "Dona nobis pacem" by Ralph Vaughan Williams, featuring local favorites Sandra Rubalcava and Joseph Wright.
